Respect Life Month (October) is fast approaching! This year’s theme is “Radical Solidarity.” The Respect Life Program (https://portlanddiocese.org/respect-life-month) begins anew each year on Respect Life Sunday on the first Sunday in October. This year, that is October 1. During October, we are asked to consider why every human life is valuable and reflect on how to build a culture that protects life from conception to natural death.
Knights of Columbus Men's Retreat. The theme is called “Becoming Men of Light”. Through the Eucharist, as a disciple of Jesus Christ and with St. Joseph, we are to be beacons of light to other men, our wives, and our children. Preregistration is required but the preregistration fee is not.
“40 Days for Life” vigils are planned for Portland, Bangor, and Houlton from September 27-November 5. The peaceful vigils are part of a 40-day campaign aimed at ending abortion through prayer, fasting, and community outreach.
